Vancouver-based roots/folk trio Steel Audrey is set to release their debut self-titled EP, July 3rd.  Evolutions of solo act, Derek Kehler, these six tracks are fueled by tales and trials of seedy characters Kehler and the band have met on their travels.

The EP opens with “Sunshine Hill (Summer)”, an up-tempo track that features warm melodies from Rachel Kehler and Krista Lehman. The songs move on to down and out characters like “Beat Up Old Hobo” and “Pocketwatch Patrick”.

Steel Audrey has the rustic old world sound of roots and folk, warmed up with harmonies and packaged inside the cargo car of freight train that has you chugging across the country.

Sounds like: Ryan Adams, The Avett Bro
